Central Recruitment is currently recruiting for a Team Leader, to work in the Lewisham area. The 80 bed service provides support to individuals with complex and multiple needs, including mental health and substance misuse.
The successful candidate will be required to work 45 hours per week, working across Monday - Sunday from 8AM - 6PM. You will work every other weekend. Temporary cover is required for approximately 3 months, with the possibility of transferring to permanent. The pay rate for this role is £16.45 per hour, with £1.99 holiday pay, totalling £18.44 per hour.
In this position, you will be required to: - Be responsible for the day-to-day management of designated Unit - Provide leadership and management support to ensure staff understand the expectations and boundaries of their roles - Ensure that all staff are provided with the appropriate support, guidance, training and supervision necessary to carry out their duties in a responsive and responsible manner - Maintain effective communication with all stakeholders including the Management and Business Support Teams, family members and external parties - Ensure that the service is adequately always staffed and that an appropriate on-site presence is maintained over 24 hours, seven days per week - Be responsible for the Petty Cash and manage in line with company policy and to provide weekly invoices and Purchase Orders to Head office - Develop and maintain an overview of tenants needs and to ensure the appropriate intervention by the support work team to ensure meaningful activities are provided for the residents and that residents are encouraged to remain as independent and active as possible - Be responsible for the operation of systems relating to Residents Personal Expenses and Money - Provide written reports for case conferences, Courts, review meetings, CPA meetings etc - Communicate clearly and effectively with GPs, social workers, nurses and other professionals in order that the health and well-being of residents is always maintained - Assist the SMT in all aspects of staff recruitment in line with company Policy and Procedures - Ensure that the allocated budgets relating to all aspects of designated are adhered to and managed effectively. - Ensure that all complaints are responded to as soon as possible and recorded in the complaints book and to ensure that all tenants and relatives are aware of the complaint's procedure.
To apply for this role candidates must have; - Experience providing support to a team of staff - A clear understanding of Safeguarding and the reporting process required - Experience of service delivery and support - Knowledge and understanding of mental health conditions, and issues related to both alcohol and substance abuse. - Experience of compiling comprehensive assessments and SMART action plans - IT skills necessary to compile correspondence and reports
