Medication
This course will give health care workers an opportunity to explore issues surrounding drug and medication administration, thereby raising awareness and developing an understanding of this subject.
With recent legislation in various areas of care, safe administration of medication has become a hot topic. The basic principles that underpin the safe handling of medicines in any establishment do not vary according to the nature of care that is offered. Whether the establishment is large or small, whether the staff have a nursing qualification or not, there is a duty of care that requires medication to be handled safely so that people who are cared for are supported to ensure this happens.
