Look Ahead

Look Ahead has been established for over 30 years and operates in London and the South East providing vulnerable people with accommodation plus the care and support services they need to live independent lives.

The services Look Ahead provide include temporary hostel accommodation for single people and families; supported housing for people with mental ill-health or learning difficulties; accommodation for single young people including those coming out of care; and specialist outreach and floating support services including their specialist Tenancy Sustainment Team, Intensive Community Support Scheme and Crisis Support Service.

South London YMCA

Working in Croydon, Lambeth and Southwark, South London YMCA provide a range of accommodation-based services, including specialist hostels for young people leaving care, women and children fleeing from domestic violence, and a project for those recovering from alcohol and drug abuse which includes a floating support service.

Central Training delivers South London YMCA?s annual training programme of over 16 in-house events, supplemented by uptake of open courses where individual or small group needs exist.

Courses run for this customer include: Boundaries & Good Practice; Emergency First Aid at Work; Equality & Diversity; Safeguarding Adults; Supervision & Appraisal.

Viridian Housing

Viridian (formerly Servite Houses) is a housing association providing social housing to over 30,000 residents in London, the south east, the Midlands and West Sussex. Working in partnership with local authorities, partner organisations and residents, Viridian?s 16,000 homes create safe, sustainable communities.

Central Training began working with Viridian in 2009, delivering a 25-course training programme to meet the dual requirements of Care Quality Commission and Quality Assessment Framework guidelines. This programme was succeeded by a 35-course training programme in 2011. Courses on both programmes accommodated Viridian?s Deaf staff, requiring collaborative working with Wandsworth Interpreting Service to facilitate BSL delivery alongside tutor-led, spoken delivery.

Worcestershire County Council

Worcestershire County Council have responsibility to support, care and protect people in their community, and they have a wide range of health and social care needs, from the very young to the elderly.

Central Training is approved by competitive tender to deliver 33 health and safety and social care course titles during the period 2010 ? 2013. Our provision covers Worcestershire?s Adults Social Care programme as well as their new in-house programme for local services, with courses delivered onsite at locations throughout the region.
