Trainee Finance Administrator
£18,000 - £20,000 pa + career progression | Islington | Permanent | Immediate start

We are looking for a high achieving and dynamic graduate to join our busy and diverse finance team. The successful candidate will learn and undertake all financial tasks related to the running of a successful specialist recruitment agency business, including weekly and monthly payroll, invoicing and credit control.

In addition to the standard finance requirements of excellent attention to detail and well developed numeracy skills, the role also incorporates a lot of worker and customer interaction, therefore superior verbal and written communication and customer service skills are essential.

The successful candidate will be provided with intensive and ongoing training and support and have the opportunity to develop their career through our senior programme and industry recognised qualifications.

Key responsibilities

" First point of contact for workers and customers
" Running accurate and efficient weekly and monthly payrolls
" Management of our online timesheet processes and associated administration
" Raising and sending out invoices
" Processing new starters and leavers
" Managing holiday pay queries
" Reconciliation of training and eLearning receipts and invoices
" Pension processing
" Credit control

Personal profile

" Educated to degree level or above
" Experience working in a similar environment or interest in working within a finance department
" Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal skills
" Ability to follow procedures and to apply attention to detail
" Experience using Excel to an advanced level
" Ability to prioritise workload, work to deadlines and use initiative
" Excellent numerical skills
" All round IT literacy
