Central is currently recruiting for a Housing Advice Worker, to work in the Wimbledon area. The role is based within a probation office where you will liaise with Merton, Richmond and Kingston probation teams.
The service provides support to ex-offenders with the aim of preventing tenancy breakdown, improving quality of life and promoting independence. In this position, you will be working with clients with complex needs including ex-offenders and mental health issues.
The successful candidate will be required to work 37.5 hours per week, working across Monday - Friday, 9AM - 5PM. Cover is required for 2-3 months. The pay rate for this role is 11.20 per hour.

You will need to have a very strong practical working knowledge of housing legislation, making housing applications, and how to source other forms of accommodation for homeless clients. Knowledge of the criminal justice sector is a bonus. To be considered, candidates must have previous experience in a similar role.
