Central is currently recruiting for a Support Worker to work in the Westminster area.

The successful candidate will provide an effective, high quality support service to address the presenting needs of residents in a busy hostel housing men with complex and enduring needs in relation to substance misuse, mental health, homelessness and offending issues.

The successful candidate will be required to work 37.5 hours per week, working across Monday - Sunday on a rota basis including early, late and weekend shifts. Cover is required for 3-4 months with the possibility of extension. The pay rate for this role is £11.20 per hour.

In this position, you will undertake a range of activities with clients which assist in the implementation of current support plan objectives and focus on developing clients' confidence to undertake the skills they need to live independently. This may include conducting key working sessions and completing risk assessments.

You will also be supporting the team in carrying out housing management functions including health and safety checks, repair and maintenance checks, supporting clients, and carrying out void inspections.

To apply for this role, you must have experience of keyworking a caseload of clients, conducting risk assessments and a knowledge of safeguarding. You must also have some experience of working with offenders or clients with substance misuse, mental health or homeless-related needs, or a combination of these client groups.

Candidates must confirm their interest by 12.09.19, with interviews scheduled to take place during week commencing 16.09.19 and the appointed candidate expected to start 23.09.1
