Supervision is a crucial process to support and develop the knowledge, skills and values of an individual or team and when conducted effectively, it can improve the quality of their work to achieve agreed objectives and outcomes. This one day workshop is designed for new or aspiring team leaders and aims to provide participants will the skills and tools to carry out effective supervision meetings as part of a wider performance development system.
This course aims to equip delegates with the skills to: Understand the purpose of supervision and apply a clear model of practice Develop effective supervisory relationships Set effective performance targets and measures Provide effective feedback Improve performance through effective coaching and delegating
Methods of Delivery
The trainer uses a range of methods to provide variety and engagement including: trainer presentation, PowerPoint presentations, flipchart work, group work and discussion, case studies and practical exercises.
