Speed of Registration (& re-registration)
Our aim is to register candidates and get them into work as quickly as possible and although our registration process is incredibly thorough, we regularly achieve this within 5 working days (for those with a portable DBS). On average our registration process will take between 10 – 15 working days.
Volume of work
We manage a number of organisations' staff banks, so we have hundreds of ad hoc & emergency shifts to cover every week. For candidates that are looking to get into work as quickly as possible, this means you can start working the moment your registration is complete, assuming you have the right experience and availability.
In addition to ad hoc work, we are the agency of choice for over 50 London based organisations, who ask us to provide workers and managers to cover temporary full-time vacancies and permanent positions.

Our Professional & Supportive Staff
As a ‘values based’ company working within a ‘people’ business, it is very important that everyone who works at Central aspires to the same values. Our internal recruitment processes are designed to identify individuals who understand the sector in which we work, respect the recipients of our service and whose personal values are aligned to those of the company. We are therefore confident that all your interactions with our staff will be positive, supportive and professional.
Accurate and prompt payroll
We understand how important it is to be paid accurately and on time. We have therefore invested heavily in CentralAxis, our web-based operating platform, that manages the on-line timesheet system and worker portals, where you can update your availability, view completed and upcoming shifts, access your eLearning courses and much more. In addition, our supportive and knowledgeable payroll team will help you to understand our finance procedures to ensure you are paid accurately and on time.
Central’s values are integrated into all transactions within our ‘people business’ as we endeavour to; foster open & honest channels of communication, respect diversity, deliver excellence, be accountable and to work as a coherent team.
- Team work
Once you have successfully registered with Central you will have free access to a number of our eLearning courses, including:
- Safeguarding Adults
- Medication Awareness
- Equality & Diversity
- Introduction to Mental Health
Central takes all health and safety responsibilities very seriously, particularly related to rest breaks and paid leave. Our registered agency workers are entitled to the equivalent of 28 days holiday pay, the same as permanent employees, which is accrued based on hours worked. In line with good practice, we accrue worker’s holiday pay for you and pay it when you are not working.
In line with current pension legislation (Pensions Act 2008), Central auto-enroll all eligible workers, make payments on their behalf and add employer contributions.
Our chosen pension provider is Nest, which we have chosen for its low fees and flexibility, allowing workers to opt in or out at any time.
