Course Overview Central Training's Supporting People with Learning Disabilities & Mental Health Needs half-day course is designed to equip delegates with the knowledge and tools to understand and identify mental ill-health and proactively support positive mental well-being in a learning disabilities setting.The trainer will cover the key differences between learning disabilities and mental ill-health, common myths, factors that contribute to mental illness and the signs that may indicate the onset or relapse of mental health problems. Delegates will have the opportunity to explore factors that could help prevent and alleviate the impact of mental ill-health on people with learning disabilities, as well as how to appropriately signpost individuals to relevant services.
