Central Training's Welfare Benefits for Supported Housing Services course is designed to provide delegates with the knowledge and skills to support clients living in supported accommodation to claim and maintain welfare benefits including Universal Credit, Housing Benefit and disability-related benefits. The trainer will provide an overview of the complex benefits system as well as ways to maximise income, including claiming Personal Independence Payment (PIP) and understanding Work Capability assessments. The delegates will have the opportunity to work on activities and real case examples of some of the issues that can arise and the practical steps to resolve them.
