Course Overview


Central Training's Anaphylaxis Awareness course aims to equip delegates with the skills and knowledge required to recognise and respond effectively to anaphylactic reactions, including the safe and timely administration of adrenaline auto-injectors (e.g. EpiPen and Jext) and Adrenaline Nasal Spray (Neffy). This course provides essential guidance on identifying triggers, understanding symptoms, and taking appropriate emergency action to potentially save lives in high-risk situations.

  • Define anaphylaxis and recognise how it differs from other allergic reactions
  • Understand Benedict's Law and its implications for schools
  • Identify common triggers of anaphylaxis
  • Recognise the signs and symptoms of anaphylaxis
  • Explain the importance of rapid response and emergency procedures
  • Demonstrate the correct use of an adrenaline auto-injector & nasal spray
  • Understand aftercare procedures following administration
