Course Overview


Central Training's Basic Life Support course is designed to equip delegates with the skills to respond to a medical emergency effectively. It is aimed at those who have a specific responsibility at work, at home, or in voluntary and community activities to provide basic life support when dealing with an emergency.

Learning Outcomes


The course aims to equip delegates with the skills to:
  • Assess Incident and casualty assessment
  • Communicate with the emergency services
  • Manage an unresponsive casualty
  • Put casualty in a Recovery Position
  • Differentiate between heart attack & sudden cardiac arrest
  • Perform CPR and AED
  • Manage bleeding control

    • Chain of survival

    Target Audience

    Anyone with a responsibility to provide Basic Life Support in an emergency.

    Training Considerations

    Loose and comfortable clothing is advised for safety and comfort. The course involves practical elements and may require laying down or kneeling on the floor.

    Certification

    Upon completion of the course, the delegates will receive a certificate of attendance.
