HACCP: Level 2 Award in Principles of HACCP

Course Overview


This one-day course is designed for those working or preparing to work in food businesses where a food safety management system based on Codex HACCP principles is implemented. It will help anyone in a catering or manufacturing setting, where food is prepared, cooked and handled to understand the principles and purpose of HACCP and to be able to apply it correctly in their own workplace.

Course Content

  • Understand the purpose of a HACCP system
  • Indentify the features and terminology of HACCP
  • Understand how a HACCP system is applied in the workplace

Target Audience

This course is suitable for anyone at work who would benefit from a more thorough understanding of food management systems. Suitable for delegates who wish to further their knowledge of control systems within the Food Sector.

Training Considerations

There are no pre-requisites for this course although a good understanding of food safety at level 2 would be an advantage. The delegates need to undertake a multi choice test at the end of the course & therefore will need a good understanding of English.

Certification

At the end of the course there will be a 30-question multiple-choice examination paper, which may be conducted orally. Candidates achieving 20 or more correct answers will be awarded the Level 2 Award in Principles of HACCP.
