Course Overview Central Training's accredited Health & Safety in the Workplace course is designed to equip delegates with the skills and knowledge required to understand and apply essential health and safety practices in a workplace setting. The trainer will explore the responsibilities of both employers and employees, the benefits of effective health and safety management, and how risk assessments can help reduce accidents, near misses, and work-related ill-health. Delegates will learn how to identify common hazards, implement control measures, respond to emergencies, and understand the importance of recording and reporting incidents.
Learning Outcomes This course aims to equip delegates with the skills to: Understand key issues affecting health and safety in the workplace, including relevant legislation Identify roles and responsibilities for health, safety, and welfare Conduct and contribute to effective risk assessments Recognise common hazards and appropriate control measures Respond appropriately to accidents, near misses, and incidents of ill-health Understand the importance of documenting and reporting workplace incidents
Methods of Delivery The trainer will use visual and practical materials and exercises. This is a participatory course, and we welcome your knowledge and experience.

Target Audience
This qualification is aimed at individuals who would like to gain knowledge in basic health and safety practices essential in the workplace.
Training Considerations
This qualification is assessed by multiple-choice examination. Learners must complete 20 questions within 45 minutes. Successful learners will have to demonstrate knowledge and understanding across the qualification syllabus and achieve a pass mark of 60% (12/20).
Certification
Upon completion of the course, the delegates will receive an accredited certificate.
Refresher of this qualification is recommended every 3 years.
