Course Overview



This course will explore the role of tenancy sustainment in housing support roles. It will look at different approaches to working with vulnerable tenants, including legislation such as the Homelessness Reduction Act and initiatives such as Housing First.

Learning Outcomes



The course aims to equip delegates with the skills to:
  • Describe the aims of tenancy sustainment
  • Identify the role of the support worker in support planning and needs assessment
  • Explore how support workers can involve service users in their own support
  • Consider a range of other agencies that support workers can liaise with
  • Recognise the different approaches to rehousing
  • Understand the role of the Homelessness Reduction Act in tenancy sustainment
  • Access further information about tenancy sustainment

    Our specialist trainer uses different methods to deliver the Tenancy Sustainment course including: Tutor presentation; group discussion, quizzes, working in pairs and small groups, short videos.
