Course Overview

Central Training's Solution-Focused Practice course is highly interactive and aims to develop confidence to apply the techniques drawn from Solution Focused Brief Therapy in a variety of settings. This programme is an overview and can therefore be attended by anyone working with service users or by managers wishing to use this as a management tool. The course is highly experiential and is based around delegates using the techniques throughout the day in order to become familiar with the style of conversation and questioning but also to enable reflection on how it feels to be a participant in a solution-focused conversation. Delegates will start using the techniques immediately as the day begins and will be asked to reflect on their experience of this after every activity.
