Parenting Positively Workshop: Skills for Professionals (Half Day)

Course Overview



This workshop focuses on practical advice and tips for how to support parents and carers to build positive relationships, set firm boundaries and parent from a place of growth, using techniques that work well for children of any age - from babies to teens. This workshop will also give professionals a different perspective on parenting advice that puts the parents at the heart in facilitating change.

Learning Outcomes


By the end of this course, candidates will have covered:
  • A greater awareness of how to talk to parents about the benefits of positive parenting
  • Techniques for relieving stress in a healthy way and strategies for self-care
  • Learn to advocate for and develop stronger Parent-Child Relationships.
  • Effective positive parenting techniques for children of any age


  • Methods of Delivery


    The trainer uses an interactive mix of ice-breakers, role plays, group work/exercises, reflection and discussion. Delegates are encouraged to work with their own situations and scenarios where boundary setting and relationship building is required.
