Central is currently recruiting for a Support Worker, to work in the Archway area. The service provides long-term residential accommodation to older adults with a history of mental health difficulties.
The successful candidate will be required to work 37.5 hours per week, working across Monday - Sunday, across the hours of 8am-6pm. Cover is required for 1 month ongoing.
To apply for this role, you need to be kind and empathetic, and respect the individual characteristics and needs of the very diverse range of customers you'll be dealing with. You'll need a sense of humour, an approachable manner and the resilience to cope with a busy, challenging and emotive job.
A high level of administration is required in this role. You would be required to advocate on behalf of clients, and attend multi-agency reviews where necessary, so candidates must be able to manage paperwork in an efficient manner. You would also need to be willing to participate in cooking meals and DIY around the service where necessary.
The successful candidate will be required to administer medication, and carry out personal care, however this is only a small part of a diverse and interesting role.
Candidates must confirm their interest by 12.01.18, with interviews scheduled to take place the week commencing 15.01.18, and the appointed candidate expected to start soon after
