Central is currently recruiting for a Supported Housing Officer, to work in the Hammersmith & Fulham area.
The service provides 24 hour supported accommodation for care leavers between the ages of 16-21 with high support needs.
The successful candidate will be required to work 37.5 hours per week, working on a 7 day rota covering early (8:30AM - 4:30PM), mid (11AM - 7PM) and late shifts (2PM - 10PM). Candidates will work on a two week rota basis covering 45 hours during week 1, and 35 hours during week 2. Candidates will also be required to work one weekend in every two.
Cover is required for a month. The pay rate for this role is £11.19 per hour.
In this position, you will hold a caseload of 4 young people, supporting them into work or education, with life skills, managing their mental health needs, substance use and offending behaviour. You will provide regular and structured outcome focussed support sessions, enable young people to maximise and sustain their incomes through knowledge of benefit claims, and complete risk assessments if required.
To apply for this role, you must have experience of working with care leavers and holding a caseload. You must have strong written and verbal communication skills and up to date knowledge of welfare rights that may affect young people.
Candidates must confirm their interest prior to 16th January, with interviews scheduled for 20th January, and the appointed candidate expected to start on Monday 27th January.
