Central is currently recruiting for a Support Officer, to work with Young People in the Islington area. The service provides supported accommodation to support clients with the aim to move them on to independent living.

The successful candidate will be required to work 37.5 hours per week, working across Monday - Sunday on a rolling rota. Shifts will be a mix of 8AM - 4PM; 10AM - 6PM; 12:30PM - 8:30PM and candidates must be able to work every other weekend.

Cover is required for an initial period of 1-2 months with a possibility of extension. The pay rate for this role is £11.56 per hour, totalling £12.96 inclusive of holiday pay.

In this position, you will hold a caseload of 5 - 6 clients, and provide support to customers through a support planning system. The young people will be aged 16-21 and will represent low-medium support needs with some complex challenging behavior.

To apply for this role, you must have experience of working with young people with a variety of support needs, and be comfortable with loneworking. Support Officers must be experienced in the understanding of child protection issues and safeguarding procedures and be able to provide emotional support to the young people as required.

Candidates are required to be immediately available to commence work following interview, which will take place during the week commencing 17th February 2020.
