Central is currently recruiting for a Support Worker, to work in the N1 area. The service provides hostel accommodation and an assessment service to young people between the ages of 16 - 21 years old, in order to fully assess their housing and support needs and move them on to appropriate accommodation.
The successful candidate will be required to work 37.5 hours per week, working across Monday - Sunday on a rota basis including early, mid and late shifts which will be over the following hours:
- 08:00 - 15:30
- 12:30 - 20:00
- 15:00 - 22:00
Cover is required for an initial period of 6 weeks whilst permanent recruitment is taking place.
Customers may have high support needs and may be LAC, so an important focus of the service is to provide a safe and secure environment, to help clients bring stability to their lives. The project works closely with community health, care and support services, police, probation and the local community.
In this position, you will carry a caseload of 4 clients for whom you will provide a comprehensive Needs and Risk Assessment, resulting in an agreed Support Plan. The plan will promote independence and prepare clients for move-on along the appropriate Pathways or into independent accommodation.
To apply for this role, you must have experience of working with young people with high support needs and carrying a caseload. You should also have good written communication skills and be comfortable with recording your work on IT systems and spreadsheets.
