Central is currently recruiting for a Progression Coach to work in the Willesden Green area. The service is a six bedded high support service catering to young girls and women with complex needs. Residents will primarily have a history of substance misuse issues including class A drugs and some may also have mental health issues.
The successful candidate will be required to work 37.5 hours per week, working on a Monday - Friday rota, covering shifts provisionally between 10:00am - 18.00pm but these times may be negotiated. The pay rate for this role is £11.85 per hour, totalling £13.28 inclusive of holiday pay. Cover is required for approximately 2 months with the possibility of extension.
In this position, you will:
o Ensure the safety and wellbeing of clients in the service at all times possible including using Safeguarding and emergency alert procedures as applicable
o Carry a caseload of clients in the accommodation service for whom you will be the named key worker, and you will also take joint responsibility with your team members for the wellbeing and day to day support of all clients in the services
o Lead on risk and needs assessment and support planning for your key clients and contribute to ongoing needs and risk assessment of other clients in the service where applicable
o Develop and implement SMART outcomes based support plans for your key clients
o Have responsibilities as part of the team for ensuring the health and safety of the environment for clients, staff, visitors and volunteers through regular checks and reporting
o Take responsibility as a member of the team for preparing the accommodation for new clients to move into and supporting the client to settle in
To apply for this role, you must have experience of working in accommodation services for young people who are homeless and have complex needs. You should have a strong knowledge and understanding of risk assessments and support planning, and have experience of carrying a caseload.
