Central is currently recruiting for a Support Officer, to work in the Hackney area. The service provides supported housing to 12 young people to provide a secure environment and support users with emotional needs, boundaries and independent living.

The successful candidate will be required to work 37.5 hours per week, working across Monday - Sunday, on a rota basis covering early (7:30AM - 3:30PM) and late (12:30PM - 8:30PM) shifts. There is a requirement to work every other weekend. Temporary cover is required for approximately 2-3 months. The pay rate for this role is £14.02 per hour, with £1.76 holiday pay, totalling £15.78 per hour.

In this position, you will be expected to;
- Hold a caseload of up to 4-5 young people and undertake regular key working sessions resulting in agreed SMART Support Plans
- Carry out assessment to identify and prioritise needs
- Develop and maintain positive links with key stakeholders
- Support service users to develop the necessary skills to live independently, and to access training, education and work.
- Liaise closely with the Housing Management Team to identify problems with Housing Benefit payments, review rent collection and address other tenancy-related matters
- Ensure service users are fully informed of their rights and responsibilities

- Experience of working with young people with complex needs
- Knowledge of the Housing Sector
- Experience of holding a caseload, conducting support plans, risk assessments and needs assessments
- Knowledge and understanding of up to date legislation and government frameworks relevant to young people
- Understanding of safeguarding children and adults
- Strong time management skills and ability to prioritise workload
