Project Worker Complex Needs/CWS

Central is currently recruiting for a female Complex Needs Project Worker, to work in the Camden area. The female only service provides support to women with backgrounds of homelessness, rough sleeping and complex needs.

The successful candidate will be required to work 37.5 hours per week, working across Monday - Sunday on a rota basis, covering 12.5 hour shifts from 8AM-8:30PM. There is a requirement to work two weekends in every 5 weeks. Temporary cover is required for approximately 2 months. The pay rate for this role is £14.49 per hour, with £1.75 holiday pay, totalling £16.24 per hour.

In this position, you will be expected to;
- Hold a caseload of 2-3 key clients and conduct regular key working sessions resulting in agreed Support Plans that are person-centred, trauma informed and enable progression.
- Complete comprehensive risk and needs assessments
- Respond to referrals within agreed timescales
- Deliver ongoing casework which applies recognised models client intervention
- Patriciate in the delivery, evaluation and development of the in-house recovery programme
- Advocate on behalf of service users and make appropriate referrals to relevant specialist services
- Respond in a psychologically-informed wat to challenges posed by complex needs
- Build and maintain effective relationships with all stakeholder, including other service, external agencies and treatment and accommodation providers
- Support client peers to make recovery visible in the schemes and, where appropriate, to co-deliver activities.
- Work with service users to maximise benefits and secure project income through the collection of rents and charges and the minimisation of arrears and void loss
- Assist service users to acquire budgeting skills, and set up bank and/or savings accounts
- Prepare and re-let all voids within a timely fashion in order to maximise income receivable from rents and charges

Please note: this role involves lone working

To apply for this role, you must have;
- Experience of working with Complex Needs clients (e.g. substance misuse, mental health, offending and backgrounds of complex trauma)
- A good understanding of the working methods of residential services delivering support and accommodation to complex needs clients
- Experience of managing a caseload of clients and creating Support Plans
- A strong understanding of the Strengths and Recovery model, and the ability to apply this within a Psychologically Informed Environment (PIE)
- The ability to respond calmly to crisis and deal promptly, effectively, safely and creatively to complex and challenging situations
- A strong understanding of the issues that typically disrupt progress in journeys towards independence, such as mental health, substance misuse, self-harm, domestic violence, anger management, learning impairment and frailty due to illness.
- The ability to engage, support and motivate clients to progress through structured activities, group work and engagement to treatment providers and services
- A strong understanding of the health and social care sector and the ability to navigate between and across specialties whilst working with clients to create a multiagency care plan
- IT skills including the use of Microsoft office programmes and database recording systems
