Central Recruitment is currently recruiting for a Progression Coach, to work in the Didsbury area. The 12 bed service provides a safe space for young people aged 16-22 years where they can access support.

The successful candidate will be required to work 37.5 hours per week, working across Monday - Friday on a rota basis covering early (7:30AM - 3PM) and late (2:30PM - 10PM) shifts. Temporary cover is required for approximately 3 months. The pay rate for this role is £13.91 per hour, with £1.68 holiday pay, totalling £15.59 per hour.

In this position, you will be expected to;
- Hold a caseload of 3 key clients and conduct regular key working sessions resulting in agreed SMART Support Plans which are reviewed regularly
- Complete comprehensive risk and needs assessments
- Support all clients to participate in Education, Training, Employment and Volunteering opportunities as appropriate to the development of their skills, assets and aspirations
- Ensure the safety and wellbeing of clients in the service at all times possible, including using Safeguarding and emergency alert procedures as applicable
- Deliver one-to one and group support opportunities within their accommodation and in the local community aimed at increasing resilience in the clients we work with
- Support clients to maximise their income
- Proactively work in partnership with multiple agencies including statutory teams, to support the wellbeing of clients

Please note: this role involves lone working

- Experience of working with young people or those who have experienced homelessness
- An understanding of the needs of people who have experienced homelessness, poor mental health and substance misuse
- Knowledge and understanding of Risk Assessments and Support Planning
- Able to demonstrate clear understanding of safeguarding requirements and procedures
- Experience of de-escalation
- Experience of lone working
