Central Recruitment is currently recruiting for two TST PRS Caseworkers, to work Pan London (North, East & West London). The service provides support to people who have experienced homelessness to help them move into new Private Rented tenancies.
The successful candidate will be required to work 37.5 hours per week, working Monday - Friday, 9AM - 5PM. Temporary cover is required for approximately 1 - 2 months. The pay rate for this role is £14.85 per hour, with £1.79 holiday pay, totalling £16.64 per hour.
Please note: this is a hybrid working role which involves working in clients own homes, across the community and occasionally working from home.
In this position, you will be required to: - Hold a caseload of 20 key clients and undertake regular key working sessions resulting in agreed support, safety and move-on plans - Conduct strengths-based Welcome Interviews with clients using a range of specialist assessment and personalised support planning tools - Assess client risk and develop risk management strategies with the client and other services who deliver mutual support - Support clients to develop their independence and resilience in managing and sustaining their PRS Tenancies - Record and update the Inform database with relevant information, including contact with and about clients, and ensure Inform records adequately represent clients' Physical Health, Mental Health and support needs - Support clients to achieve Social, Financial and Health Inclusion - Work in partnership with clients, referrers, housing providers and Benefits services so clients maximise their income and access Welfare Benefits they're entitled to - Identify and assess current and underlying or unmet physical and mental health needs for clients, supporting clients to access and engage with health services to better manage their health and wellbeing - Accompany clients in person to visits and to other services where appropriate - Deal with the immediate support needs of clients as appropriate, providing crisis intervention where necessary - Take part in organising, facilitating and delivering activities, drop-in sessions or groups in response to identified client needs or as part of a project wide programme of group work - Support clients that are ready to move into work, education, or training by assisting them to access suitable courses or placements

To apply for this role, you must have; - Experience and understanding of the range of approaches appropriate to working with the following; mental and physical health & wellbeing, drug and / or alcohol use, safeguarding and risk management, social Inclusion, financial Inclusion and tenancy related support - In-depth understanding of client needs assessment and resettlement into new Private Rented Accommodation - The ability to deliver successful resettlement support to help people manage and sustain their own tenancy - Knowledge, or willingness to learn, of the culturally specific needs of Roma clients in managing a Tenancy and avoiding homelessness - The ability to use Romanian / Romanese or related language to contact and communicate with Roma clients, or ability to access appropriate resources to achieve this - Understanding of how to capture and record data to track client progress, outcomes, and service performance - Knowledge of common health issues & the barriers to health access that people experiencing homelessness may encounter - Knowledge of other housing pathways and Move-on routes for people who need or want to move on from Private Rented Housing - Knowledge of, and willingness to learn, about physical and mental health pathways & access to alternative provisions - The ability to effectively liaise and communicate with a range of service providers and agencies to successfully advocate for clients
