Central Recruitment is currently recruiting for a Deputy Manager, to work in the Middleton area. The CQC registered service provides independent living for people aged 55 and over who also need care and support
The successful candidate will be required to work 37.5 hours per week. Flexibility is required to participate in an on-call and weekend rota. Temporary cover is required for approximately 6 months. The pay rate is £19.03 per hour, with £2.30 holiday pay, totalling £21.33 per hour.
In this position, you will be required to: - Lead, motivate and support a team to deliver high-quality person-centred care services - Hold regular 'one-to-one' sessions to reflect on achievements, performance and support individual personal wellbeing. - Ensure all care plans, risk assessments and customer records are accurate and up to date - Undertake six-monthly performance reviews to support and guide colleagues to fulfil their potential - Manage and plan the delivery of care in the service as per CQC and contractual requirements - Participate in the setting and management of service budgets, and monitor spend by accessing the finance system and report any budget variances to the budget holder. - Implement and monitor policies, procedures and quality standards to ensure safe and effective service delivery - Ensure robust medication management procedures are followed in accordance with national guidelines. - Maintain compliance with health and safety legislation, safeguarding requirements and regulatory obligations. - Build and maintain positive relationships with customers, families, commissioners and partner agencies - Support recruitment, onboarding and development of permanent, relief and agency staff. - Support housing management functions including repairs and maintenance coordination. - Advocate for customers and support positive outcomes that enhance independence and wellbeing.
To apply for this role, you must have: - Experience of working within a CQC registered supported living or extra care services environment. - Previous experience in a leadership or supervisory role within health and social care. - Ability to motivate, coach and develop teams - Ability to listen and communicate clearly, encourage feedback and reflection, empower, motivate and deliver improvements. - Experience of reviewing, monitoring and evaluating outcomes in the delivery of a CQC registered service - Experience producing reports, statutory submissions and other communications and analysing key outcomes data to understand and drive service improvements - Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise workloads and manage competing demands. - Competent IT skills, including experience updating care plans, maintaining electronic records and producing reports. - Resilient, adaptable and customer-focused approach
